AP Posting validation requests

Just like the standard Service Request Approval or Workorder Validation Request, you can configure an approval process for AP Posting Validation Requests.

Configure AP Posting approval:

  1. Go to Configuration > System Preferences > Request Configuration.
  2. For Request Type, select AP Posting Validation Request.
  3. Select Approval is required.
  4. For Define Approval(s), select the category:
    • Approver(s)
    • Auto-reject
    • Auto-Approve
  5. Click + Approver to select the default approver‍. An employee list opens.
  6. Click the employee entry to add as default approver.
  7. Click + Add Approver to select for Approver 1.

    Note: The minimum number of approver(s) is 1. The maximum is 5.

  8. Select type:
    • Predefined: a specific user is designated to approve.
    • User-Defined: a user will choose the approver.
  9. If you selected Predefined, do one of the following: 
    • Select Multiple Users and add conditions to create a predefined list of potential approvers for the user to select.
    • Select Single User and + Approver to select a specific approver.
  10. If applicable, click + Add Approver and repeat steps 8-9 to add more approvers.
  11. If you would like to set a 2nd approver, click +Add Approver and repeat the process above.
  12. For Email Alert
    1. Select Default Approver to send a notification to the defined default approver at each approval level.

    2. Enter or click + Recipient for CC or BCC to add recipients to the notifications list.
    3. Select the additional recipients who should be notified at when the AP Posting validation is fully approved.

  13. Click Apply.
